Thailand Won’t Make You Happy

Thailand won’t make you happy.

I mean it’s a cool place.

It’s awesome actually.

You can fly half way around the world and sit in a little hotel room by the beach — but you will still be you.

It’s taken me years to realize this.

Happiness and contentment don’t come from external things like parties and beaches. They come from the inside.

They come from friends, and family. And working on stuff you love.

  1. Very true. You always have to carry around yourself. And your problems, and the stories you tell yourself.

And happiness and contentment are real fleeting things that come only in waves.

Amen – it’s so true it comes from friends, family, working on what you love. And predominantly, from taking ACTION. For some people, that can mean having the courage to get on a plane and go start a new life somewhere different. Or just taking a trip to explore the world, and in the process explore our internal world… or to take the initiative to be around the right people who care about and are working hard toward making similar changes in themselves and the world around them as you are trying to make…

    Great topic Dave!
